I saw this movie wheni was v.little gal:) The only thing i remember about teh mv is that Sivaji will stabbing his wife when he discovers her making out w another man!!!! He will be jailed (of course!) After many years of serving he will come back wanting to patch his realtionship w his daughter (Sridevi)

I wasn't really expecting anything when i borrowed the movie. It turned out much better than i expected. The firts half is hilarious with lawrence, kovai sarala & vinu chakarvathy.He even sang the title song?!!!I did not like the 2nd half where he gets possessed by raj kiran!!!Basically i just cant stand that fellow. He will be fighting alot to revenge his death...i mena thats y he gets possessed.:( it would have been better if they have continued the humour.

The biggest drawback, a guy trying to mimick vadivelu?!!!! That was sooo irritating!!! I would rather watch the ORIGINAL!Vadivelu pls stand up!
Lawrence 1st attempt in taking a tamil movie is fairly commendable. Anyways he is a hit director in tollywood!!!

Its a malayalam movie starring Prithiviraj(winks*),jayasurya,meera j & bhavana.
Its a wonderful movie. I have to mention that it reminded me of "dil chata hai". Maybe coz i don't really remember seeing a gd indian movie about friendship.

Its quite an old movie but what to do malayalam movie don't get an early release in Singapore!! Im actually looking forward to view "police" & "kadal".

This is a clean movie which can be watched with your entire family...hahahahahahah.It has comedy,sentiment & love but I just didn't know why they have to KILL bhavana towards the end tho ....hmmmm...

OKie.. juz uploaded 2 videos:1 is malayalam(manichitrathaazhu) e other is kannada (aapthamithra. The malayalam movie is the original. Right now they plannin to re-make it in hindi with Vidya balan. Last heard that she wants to do somethin like Shobana and not Jo or Soundaraya.Strangely, this movie only became very famous when it was made in tamil!!!The original awarded shobana with a nationl award!!

yawn...what a sian day... i don't think i have ever made that many phone calls in a day. I think my ear must be swollen after calling the banks!!! why are banks so complicated?? Its soo hard to get the right dept and some of them didn't leave their no.s... nad i hate talking to a machin!!!!sigh.... i will continue to call them tomorrow too. Shit!:( To think i was tasked to finish it by TODAY!! How is that possible?!!!
i cant believe i have made all those calls coz i hate calling up ppl. Thats one of the reason why my friends get pissed with me. I don't call & don't (sometimes)pick up when it rings..kekekekek(coz my ph is always lying ard somewhere!!!)

Hopefully i will have a better day tomorrow.. friday is goin to be a looong day for me....just looking forward to the weekend.:)

Btw writer Sujatha mentioned that Sivaji will most probably be released in May. It seems that ARR is currently arranging the BMG for it in Scotland. Yipppeee......I am just waiting to see how the songs has turned up!!!My persoanl fave is "Athiradee" & " Sahana".

Kerala Fish FrY....

These recipes r soo simple to make n looks so delicious..yummy...







Ingredients
1. ½ kg fish
2. 1 ½ dsp chilli powder
3. ½ tsp pepper powder
4. 1/8 tsp mustard seeds
5. 5 button onions
6. 6 garlic cloves
7. 1” ginger
8. Salt to taste
9. Refined vegetable oil, for frying

Method
1. Clean fish well in salted water and sliced.
2. Grind ingredients 2 to 7 to a fine paste. Add salt to taste.
3. Rub the fish well with the paste. Keep covered in a cool place for some time.
4. In a heavy skillet, add oil and deep fry the fish on both sides, turning gently to ensure even cooking. Serve hot.

Note: The above marinade can be used for any kind of fish, but make gashed on both sides if using a whole fish.

Meen Pollichathu (Fish Roasted in a Plantain Leaf)
- Mrs.K.M.Mathew
Ingredients
1. 1 kg pomfret, or fish fillets

For the marinade
1. 1 tsp pepper powder
2. ½ tsp turmeric powder
3. Salt to taste

For the masala paste and gravy
1. 2 tsp coriander powder
2. ½ tsp chilli powder
3. ½ tsp turmeric powder
4. ½ tsp pepper powder
5. 3 dsp refined vegetable oil
6. 1 cup button onions, sliced
7. 10 garlic cloves
8. 3 green chillies, slit
9. A few curry leaves
10. 1 tsp mustard seeds
11. 1 cup thick coconut milk

Method
1. Clean fish in salted water. If using whole fish, make gashes on both sides.
2. Rub the fish well with pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt. Marinate for 1 hour.
3. Grind the coriander, chilli, turmeric and pepper powders with a little water to make masala paste.
4. In a pan, heat 2 dsp oil and saute button onions, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Remove from the pan and keep aside.
5. Fry the fish lightly in the same oil and keep aside.
6. Add 1 dsp oil. Splutter mustard seeds. Add the masala paste and saute until the aroma seems right.
7. Add fish and coconut milk.
8. Add sauted button onions, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Simmer on low heat until fish is coated with gravy.
9. Wrap each fish in a piece of plantain leaf or greased foil. Tie securely and bake at 350ºF for 20 minutes. Serve hot.

Im trying to get hold of Prabhu's 80s films coz thats what i grew up (alot)watching.(v r a Prabhu fan family).I know he isnt so famous now but he used to be soooo famous!!! i am currently lookin out for "Kai raasi kaaran(great songs) w radha & "Soora kottai singakutti" w silk smitha.

Manoj (oorvarsi hubby) is the evil wizard .. he was scary..jumping everywhere
Prithivi & Kavya share a great onscreen chemistry. he was choo cuute & humourous in the mv. The story is about Manoj who do everything to get hold of e naga rathinem & scriptures and how the hero tries to stop him. It even stars some other familiar faces: kalabhavn mani, revathi, riya sen, biju menon & nedumudi

Malayalam movie are such a treat to watch so much better than hindi movie!!!! Unfortunately u cant get the latest cds...:(if im not wrong this flick was released 2yrs ago but just released in SPORE!!!!!!!!!!Prithivi has acted loads movies in between. Wonder when they will be released...sigh....Im looking forward to catch "Vargam" where plays a corrupted guy and "police' where he acts as a gd cop!!:)

Remember Shanthipriya, who starred opposite Akshay Kumar in his debut movie, Saugandh?

The actress will shortly make her comeback in a thriller directed by Raj Sippy, called Murderer.

The actress, who has lost touch with her first co-star over the years, says, “I adore Akshay since he was my first co-star and also a wonderful human being.

A year ago, I saw him at the airport being mobbed by fans. It was a pleasant shock when he came up to me and said, ‘Naaraaz ho kya? Hello bhi nahin kiya.

’ If he learns that I have shot for Murderer with the same director who paired us together, he will be delighted, I am sure,” she says.

Shantipriya, who has also acted opposite Mithun Chakraborty, is now acting with his son Mimoh. She says, “It’s a full circle of sorts for me, since I’m resuming work with the same director.

Shiva thaandavam...

Thrivilaiyaadal is my all-time fave devotional movie. I lost count the no. of times i have viewed it. You should still watch it even if ur an atheist!! Just to appreciate the fantastic acting by both Nadigar Thilagam & Nadigaiyar thilagam. I personally like the scene where he acts as a fisherman.. very cuute....& the scenes w nagesh..

Anyways, diz is another scene where sivaji is outstanding... Sivaji doing a "Shiva thaandavam".... I dun think anyone has potrayed Lord Shiva so well as him..:)

My Say on->Paruthiveeran

I truly regret not watching it in the theatres. :(

Its an excellent movie. Great performance by all the stars inclusive of the kutti artistes.Altho Karthi isnt great lookin like his bro, he is a very talented actor. I mean we all know how Surya was in his earlier days. Its really hard to give such a convincing act in a 1st movie but he did!!

Priya mani jus lived the character. Hopefully she soars higher in kollywood from this hit. I knew she is a talented gal when i saw her in "Indu oru kana kaalam".At least the telugu industry identified her talent.

The ending was such a heart breaker... sob.. no wonder the climax affected them so much.I read that priya couldnt dub for 2 days as she was crying non- stop. I dun think you have ever seen such scenes before in tamil films.

Im so elated that this movie is goin to Cannes festival with Veyil... I mean even tamil films are mad of great stuff!!!:).

I would recommend all to see this movie but it spoils the fun if you know the ending. Don't forget to have a box of Kleenex beside you.:)

Vel vel Muruga..

I had great fun at Panguni yesterday. It wasnt like last year. There was an increase in the kavadis which is sheer joy for us. I was busy enjoying the music & watching e "dramas" enfolding around us..kekke.. Alot of women got possessed as usual but it wasn't as exciting as last year tho...

Strangley no paati or a kiasu by-stander blocked our view which is great of course?!!!Panguni is getting so much enjoyable than Thaipusam...
