An honest man with strong humanitarian considerations, he is killed by the police who overlook their crucial responsibility as the actual guardians of life and property. 'Thalappavu, portrays the drama of a life, often heard of and narrated by many.
'Thalappavu" is story of the dark and depressive depths of the human mind, which cannot be seen or heard, the story of a mind, which suffers in silence. Those who die in fake encounters do not live to tell their tale. One such a fake encounter occurred in Kerala in the 1970s and it was only 35 years later that the truth behind it was revealed.
