I have 2 reviews today. One is a book the other is a movie.
Title: Life Less Ordinary
Author: Baby Halder
An absolutely heart-rending & inspiring memoir of Baby Halder. It’s actually written by a domestic maid who is still at the same job.
Baby starts of her being young and abandoned by her mum, left to her uncaring father who made her marry at the young age of 12 to man of 26 yrs of age!! To her horror, he was worst than her dad who abused her physically and treated her like dirt! She became pregnant at the age of 13 & was forced to mature quickly and lost whatever childhood she had!!
She escaped from her husband for her children’s well being to delhi in search of her brothers. As sad as it sounds, they were not welcoming her visit so things got much worse..
So you must be wondering how she got into writing rite? Well after much hardship she finally met a wonderful employer who was kind to her and encouraged her writing!!!
It’s best that you read it to experience the feeling of it. I was almost welled with tears when I finished it. Wonder how she survived such torture and pain and still get to smile? How did she live through it? It’s an inspiring read that I am sure it makes your present problems look smaller.
FYI, its been translated from the Bengali book “ Aalo Andhari, from darkness to Light”
Thank you Baby

Subramaniyapuram
I was quite keen to watch the movie since i read alot of rave reviews about it & my anticipation was further increased when my fren told me the story!!
There are only 2 known faces in it- Jai (chennai 28) & Kanja Karuppu. The guy on the right happens to be the director!!!
This is not YOUR typical tamil film at all. It has such a gripping storyline that you are not bored for even a second. Can't believe that Jai is this good... fantastic man... Every one were just too good in it..The songs are lovely too.. & its composed by James Vasanthan (ex suntv anchor). Some scenes were just pretty gruesome not that i have any problem with it. The only drawback was the vulgarities was censored so it kinds gets to you when certain dialogues are missing here & there.
I dun wanna write the review here and spoil the fun of it... so what are you waiting for?Go & catch it yaar!!
