Over The Weekend.....
Pretty upsetting that another colleague of mine has left the company. So its just left with me alone. (the old team) Its sorta depressing when i think about it so i try not to dwell on it.
We had a small farewell gathering which was soo hilarious. Had a fuuuuull meal at Handburger and later gorged ourselves with some Japanese tarts and tea:)
Another khaki of mine has been hinting about leaving and i believe it might just occur anytime soon.sob..sob..Why are all my fave buddies leaving me behind?
Anyways im very pleased that i can opt out of the paatu exam. It was eating at me for months...Thank GOD! I feel soo at peace now. So the most important thing for me to do now is PRACTICE PRACTICE & PRACTICE!!!Im so lazy and tired after work that i am too lethargic to pick it up!
Strange, that it always happens to us. My sis & i ventured all the way to to find a makan place and found out that it was closed down!!!!To make up for it, we ate somewhere better:)
Then another sad news, the kurti i ordered online and sooo looking forward to was out of stock!!! Damn!It has to be mine!sob..sob.. The flip side, my bro paid for it so now i just refunded it to him!kekekke.....(dun owe him anything now!)
I was itching for a haircut.. for a looong time. All that colouring and highlighting has totally destroyed my roots:( I was scheming for a super short hairdo. Ala Vic Beckham or Priyanka Chopra hairstyle. Unfortunately, it turned out nothing like it! Its pretty short at the back.. they say its looks very manjan..sob..sob.. Now i have gotten used to it. Since my hair is very wavy it looks pretty alright now. I just gotta style it every time i go out. I feel much lighter now. Now i have to wait and see how my frens react....holding breath...
Its going to be March tomorrow and i am pretty tensed about my workplace. A big event is coming up soon and i am crossing both my hands & toes that i won't get dragged in it since I'm the last man standing!
Oh ya! I happen to bump into another gallery.. is an open gallery by NAFA.. i really love the idea of walking about art galleries and admiring peeps artworks and creations..pretty cool na?I should do that more often!:)
Tata...feeling sooo exhausted... and hot... and full...nitez..nitez...

My CNY Holidays...
My CNY holidays was getting boring at home so i decided to do something about it!
Besides sleeping & waking up late, i crammed my days catching films. Indian, English, Chinese, Japanese.. u name it...
Not willing to waste it even more, i happen to visit the museums.. yes the.. musuems...i always loved goin but was too lazy to move m y lardy ass...haahah....i happen to visit 2 museums at 2 different dates.
Hobbled down to the Peranakan Museum.
Seriously, i have never heard of this place till recently...yikes!To think, its situated somewhere near City Hall... Its a lovely building:) The info counter staff were not so helpful but we found our way around the place.
Since it was a Friday, the admission is only $3! Not bad, most of the exhibits were from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam & so on... not much from India.
After our tour, we made it down to Lau Pau Sat for our dinner. Mine sucked but the rojak was delicious! Sort of finished the whole plate!hahahah
Enjoyed the night out!
I was eagerly awaiting to catch this exhibition. I simply loooove Mughals jewels... they are just sooo exquisite and beauutiful...
To my added luck, the museums were on open house yesterday!!yeah.....
The jewels were unimaginably unbelieveably awesome! Soo much of detailed craftsmanship was used in those jewels. Even the swords & daggers are bejwelled! I was totally bedazzled.
I visited many of the other exhibits too. Looved the SOuth Asian gallery which showcased the artefacts from India especially South India. I was almost on the verge of fainting of hunger so i quickly snapped the pix and left ..I think i left out a gallery! So wasted!:(
Had a laaaate lunch & early dinner at a place called soupelicous i think at City Link...It was goood..:)should make another trip there!
One more pending visit to the museum, the Egyptian artefacts...Im coooming....

Aayirathil Oruvan Review - Did i Like It?

Been waiting 2 looong years to see this flick.
So was it worth all the wait?
YES IT IS!!!!!!
Karthi was choooooo cuute in it!!!! His entrance itself was unique! He is a natural man!Im sure he is going to earn more fans from this.
Reema was surprisingly good! She looked cool with the guns and fights. She looked gorgeous in those traditonal costumes.
Andrea was good too, would like to see more of her.
The CGI work is awesome for a tamil movie!!! A fantastic and remarkable attempt by the Selvaraghavan team. It was very obvious that they went through alot alot pain and hardwork to achieve this kind of work.
Partiban was the special surprise package. Although i dun really fancy him he was sooo apt for the role. It was quite unimaginable to think of another replacement.
The costumes of Partiban was soo detailed.
Now the Flaws:
The movie is looooong. Needs some urgent trimming. Would cut that MTV styled song. (can't remember the name) Trim the last part where the chozha team was tortured. The movie badly needs subtitles too!I can't believe that they did not think of that?!Not many people understands thus the mixed reviews! There were scenes whereby people did not get the jokes...there was even a guy behind me who was translating it to his friend!I had to listen to the dialogues carefully too. Even the storyline is complex to comprehend. Gosh! Its like i have to see it again to understand it. The CGI works was very obvious at times too:( well then again its really unfair ro expect a Hollywood standard.
The violence was high in this movie so its not for the faint hearted.
I would strogly recommend everyone (above 16) to watch this movie. Only then such attempts will be remade again. Hats off! Selva!

POngalo pOngal pOngalo POngal.....
I took leave to celebrate Pongal. To assist the people at home and to catch up on the special programs on TV..kekek...
As like everytime, there was alot squabbling & and arguments but eventually everything went down well:) The only thing i hated most was the somberi at home who did not lift a bloody finger to help out!Urgh!!
For a change, i took a couple of pix..check dem out.. im feeling super damn full. I was planning to go for a second round...i doubt i can enough space for puliyodare...:(
Oh ya, tomorrow i would be involved in a sports activity at my work place. I'm hoping that my team mates turnup for the event and don't leave me in the lurch! I pretty much know that my team won't go to the next level as it doesn't have alot "on" people! To make it even worse, i would be playing against my own manager! hmmm... not sure if its a good thing or a bad one!hahahha....
Wish me luck people!
Happy Maatu(Kaana) & Kanni POngal..........MoooOOOooooooo
